Hip Hop Instructor.

Location: Venice, FL (Multiple Locations: Venice YMCA, Venice Train Depot, Issa Rehab Services)

Description: Elizabeth Mission of Dance is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hip Hop Dance Instructor to join our team! We’re looking for someone who is passionate about teaching dance, making a positive difference in students’ lives, and is comfortable working in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities:

- Teach engaging and age-appropriate hip hop dance classes to children, teens, and/or adults.

- Create choreography and lesson plans using age-appropriate movements and music.

- Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive class environment.

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the employer about class updates, progress, and expectations.

- Promote and uphold the mission and values of Elizabeth Mission of Dance.

- Be flexible with schedules and adapt to changes when necessary.

- Attend occasional staff meetings and collaborate on class planning.

Qualifications:

- Prior experience teaching hip hop dance to a variety of ages and skill levels.

- Knowledge of appropriate movements and music for younger dancers.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Enthusiastic and energetic teaching style.

- Comfortable working in a Christian faith-based company.

- Reliable, punctual, and organized.

- Ability to inspire and motivate students while fostering creativity and growth.

Schedule:

Classes are typically held in the evenings on weekdays. Additional opportunities may be available for workshops or special events.

Compensation:

$20/hour, paid biweekly.

Ballet Instructor.

Elizabeth Mission of Dance is seeking a skilled and passionate Ballet Instructor to teach students ages 3-Adult. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic about shaping young lives through dance, flexible, and comfortable working in a Christian faith-based environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach engaging and age-appropriate ballet classes to children and teens, ages 3-18 and Adult.

  • Develop lesson plans and choreography using age-appropriate music and techniques.

  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where students can grow in their skills and confidence.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the employer regarding class expectations, progress, and updates.

  • Uphold and promote the mission and values of Elizabeth Mission of Dance.

  • Adapt to scheduling changes and attend occasional staff meetings.

  • Ensure students adhere to proper ballet etiquette and attire.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching ballet to children and teens across various skill levels.

  • Strong knowledge of ballet techniques and appropriate music for younger dancers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and inspiring teaching approach.

Elizabeth Mission of Dance is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Dance Teaching Aides to assist our instructors and support students in their dance journey. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who may not have extensive teaching experience but are passionate about learning, helping others, and making a difference in students' lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dance instructors during classes by providing hands-on support to students and ensuring a smooth class experience.

  • Help younger students with movements, techniques, and staying engaged in lessons.

  • Set up and clean up the dance space before and after classes.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the instructor.

  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that aligns with the mission and values of Elizabeth Mission of Dance.

  • Be willing to learn and grow in teaching techniques and dance knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for dance and working with children of various ages and skill levels.

  • A desire to learn and develop teaching skills.
